Hello, darling Moonbeams. Thanks for joining us on another misty Moonday for more Tarot & Tea with Jessika TuCrow. I was very happy to see this week’s card, as I’m sure you all will be! The prosperous Nine of Pentacles graces us with its gainful face today, a symbol of achievement and affluence. Here is a card which reflects enjoyment of the finer things in life. The Nine of Coins will not be comfortable in a coarse environment and avoids the company of unsavory folk, seeking instead the high-minded and refined. This welcome omen of material abundance doesn’t necessarily mean that it will all come easily. The Nine of Pentacles indicates self-discipline and self-reliance which lead to personal success. Oftentimes, this can be achieved using a methodical approach--making goals and sticking to them. The Nine of Disks preaches that consistently applied effort is a necessity in order to build individual wealth. If we invest ourselves into endeavors for material gain, there is definitely a come-up on the horizon.
Our tea for the Nine of Pentacles certainly has got to be opulent. What better fits this bill than the lush treasure which is Jasmine Pearl? This precious tea boasts a thousand year history as one of the most sought-after teas in the world. Aromatic Jasmine blossoms are layered with whole green tea leaves of the highest quality during the drying process, infusing the tea with an incredible, delicate fragrance. After this partial drying process, each tea leaf is given loving attention as it is hand-rolled into a lavish pearl before its final stage of drying. Pour hot water over these leafy jewels and watch in wonder as they unfurl to life before your eyes. You’re working hard towards your goals, so go ahead and treat yourself to some luxurious Jasmine Pearl tea! Sometimes the best ways to enjoy the finer things in life are also the simplest.
Our featured deck this week is the Haindl Tarot. Designed by Hermann Haindl, this highly esoteric deck has serious, mature tone and is geared towards readers of the same nature. Visually speaking, the Haindl Tarot features a grave color palate and heavily Saturnian aesthetic. Symbolism deriving from a diverse variety of spiritual traditions ranging from Native American to Kabalistic, I Ching to Elder Futhark Runes can be found throughout these cards. One thing I love about the Haindl Tarot is the extremely rich, subtle detail waiting to be explored within its occult depths. Here is a Tarot deck with something new to discover every time you pull a card, which is what makes the Haindl my go-to deck for personal Tarot work. Definitely one of the heavier hitting decks, I’d say the Haindl Tarot is most suitable for experienced practitioners.
